How to download all images or files from a web page at once

Right-click, save, repeat gets old fast when a page has forty photos or a list of PDFs. Here are two ways to grab them all: one built into your browser, and one that's quicker and lets you choose.

Method 1: Save the whole page (built in, nothing to install)

Chrome and Edge can save a page along with the images it shows.

  1. Open the page and scroll to the bottom, so any images that load as you scroll have appeared.
  2. Press Ctrl+S (Cmd+S on a Mac).
  3. Under "Save as type", choose Webpage, Complete and save.
  4. Next to the saved page you'll find a folder ending in _files. The images are in there.

Good for: a quick one-off when you don't want to install anything.

Downsides: the folder is full of other things too (scripts, styles, icons, tracking pixels), the images often have meaningless names, and you frequently get the small preview size instead of the full image. Files that are only linked from the page, like PDFs in a list, aren't saved at all.

Method 2: Pick and download everything with Quiet Bulk Downloader

Quiet Bulk Downloader is our extension for this. It lists every file, image and document on the page, sorted by type, and saves the ones you pick into one folder.

  1. Install Quiet Bulk Downloader and pin it to your toolbar.
  2. Open the page and click the icon. It lists what it found: Images, Documents, Archives, Audio, Video and more.
  3. Filter by type (for example, only Images), or type part of a name to narrow the list. Untick anything you don't want.
  4. Choose a folder name and click Download. Everything is saved into that folder inside your Downloads, a few files at a time.

A few things that make it better than saving the page:

Quiet Bulk Downloader

Free. Find and download every file on a page in one click, sorted into one folder. No ads, no tracking. Optional Pro upgrade ($9.99 one-time) adds all open tabs at once, renaming with patterns and advanced filters.

Tips for common cases

A gallery that loads more as you scroll

Images further down often aren't on the page until you scroll to them. Scroll to the very bottom first, then open the extension.

A page full of PDFs or worksheets

Choose the Documents filter, untick any you don't need, and download. Each file keeps its own name.

Several pages or tabs at once

Open each page in its own tab. Bulk Downloader Pro can collect from every open tab in one go, and rename the results with a pattern like trip-001.jpg.

Is it allowed?

Saving files for your own use is generally fine, but photos and documents still belong to whoever made them. Only download what you have the right to, and check a site's terms before re-using anything.

Does the extension see my browsing?

It reads a page only when you open it on that page, and the list never leaves your computer. See our privacy policy.
