Privacy policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
This policy covers the browser extensions published by Quiet Utilities, including Quiet Bulk Downloader, Quiet Grayscale and Quiet Volume Booster. The short version: our extensions work entirely in your browser, and we don't collect, sell or share your browsing data.
What the extensions do with page content
When you open Quiet Bulk Downloader, it reads the links, images and media on the page (or, if you choose, on all open tabs) so it can list them for you. This happens on your own computer. The list is never sent to us or anyone else. Files you choose to download come directly from the websites that host them.
Quiet Grayscale adds a black-and-white style to the sites you choose. It doesn't read or send anything from those pages.
Quiet Volume Booster changes the volume of audio and video on the sites you set. The sound is processed on your own computer and is never recorded, stored or sent anywhere.
What is stored, and where
Your preferences, such as the folder name, rename pattern the sites you keep in grayscale or the volume you set for each site, are saved in your browser's own extension storage. They stay on your device and are deleted when you remove the extension.
Payments
If you buy a Pro upgrade, the purchase is handled by ExtensionPay and Stripe. You enter your email and payment details on their secure checkout pages, never inside our extensions. We receive the email address and the record of your purchase so we can confirm your license and help with refunds. We never see or store your card details. See Stripe's privacy policy and ExtensionPay's privacy policy.
What we don't do
No analytics, no tracking, no ads, no selling or sharing of data, and no use of your data for anything unrelated to the extension's purpose.
Permissions
The extensions ask only for the permissions they need: reading the current page when you open them, saving downloads, and storing your settings. Access to all websites is requested only if you turn on a feature that needs it (such as "All tabs" in Bulk Downloader or "Every website" in Grayscale and Volume Booster). Volume Booster asks for access to a single site when you set a level there, so it can remember it, and you can revoke it at any time in your browser's extension settings.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
